Debbie Cutforth – American Falls
I received a BS/Clinical Laboratory Science from ISU Pocatello, ID in 2005 and am ASCP certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist(MLS). I am the Laboratory manager for Power County Hospital District and have been certified as an Infection Preventionist since 2017. Power County Hospital District is a critical access hospital in southeast Idaho with 10 hospital beds in addition to 21 long-term care beds in our Skilled Nursing facility and a Rural Health Clinic. Our laboratory is staffed with 3 part-time MLS and 4 additional per diem staff for on-call night-shifts and weekends. We also staff 2 part-time phlebotomists.
I have been a member of ASCLS Idaho most years since graduation. I have been active on the board for 2 terms as Secretary. I have also been Spring Conference Registration Chair since 2018.
I am married to my soul mate that took me 55 years and one marriage to find. I have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren that live close by so I get to see them often. They are the light of my life and I love being their gaga. In my spare time, I love to travel, cross stitch, paper craft, RZR ride, and pretend to be a food critic.
Fun fact: I was the first person in my family to graduate from college at age 45!
