1. PURPOSE
- Recruiting and retaining members
2. TERM OF OFFICE
3. QUALIFICATIONS
- ASCLS Professional or Emeritus membership
- Recommended experience: Computer and marketing skills
4. DUTIES
- Recruit and retain new members. Work with ASCLS National Membership Committee
- Maintain membership files. Report to the Board
- Other duties performed: N/A
5. EXPECTATIONS
- Meeting Attendance: Board meetings as necessary
- Reports: Reports prepared for each Board meeting and a final report at the end of the year
- Deadlines: Convention, awards, new member applications activities
- Average time commitment: 4 to 5 hours per month
- Travel: Board meetings, conventions
- Financial considerations: Convention registration fees
6. RESOURCES
- Mentors: Previous state and national chairs
- Materials: Software, mailings from national chair, pins, award certificates, and sample new member packets
- Helpful Hints and Suggestions: Direct communication with national office, marketing, and new ideas
