1. PURPOSE

    • Recruiting and retaining members

2. TERM OF OFFICE

    • 1 year

3. QUALIFICATIONS

    • ASCLS Professional or Emeritus membership
    • Recommended experience: Computer and marketing skills

4. DUTIES

    • Recruit and retain new members. Work with ASCLS National Membership Committee
    • Maintain membership files. Report to the Board
    • Other duties performed: N/A

5. EXPECTATIONS

    • Meeting Attendance: Board meetings as necessary
    • Reports: Reports prepared for each Board meeting and a final report at the end of the year
    • Deadlines: Convention, awards, new member applications activities
    • Average time commitment: 4 to 5 hours per month
    • Travel: Board meetings, conventions
    • Financial considerations: Convention registration fees

6. RESOURCES

    • Mentors: Previous state and national chairs
    • Materials: Software, mailings from national chair, pins, award certificates, and sample new member packets
    • Helpful Hints and Suggestions: Direct communication with national office, marketing, and new ideas
