    • Communicate legislative and regulatory issues to membership

2. TERM OF OFFICE

    • 1 year

3. QUALIFICATIONS

    • ASCLS Professional or Emeritus membership
    • Recommended experience: Understanding of legislative process, public speaking, and networking skills

4. DUTIES

    • Communicate legislative issues. Establish contact network and respond promptly to legislative alerts
    • Other duties performed: Attendance at Legislative Days

5. EXPECTATIONS

    • Meeting Attendance: Board meetings as necessary
    • Reports: Reports as necessary to the Board and a final report at the end of the year
    • Deadlines: N/A
    • Average time commitment: 1 to 2 hours per month
    • Travel: Board meetings, conventions, Legislative Days
    • Financial considerations: Convention registration fees

    • Helpful Hints and Suggestions: Quick response to Legislative alerts
