The Professional Affairs Chair info is as follows:
Purpose: To increase community awareness of Clinical Laboratory Science.
Term: 1 year
Qualifications: ASCLS/ASCLS-Idaho member (Professional or Emeritus)
Recommended experience: Media relations, marketing, public speaking.
Duties: Chair of NMLW (Lab Week) campaign for ASCLS-Idaho, Chair of CMN (Children's Miracle Network) fundraiser.
Expectations: Attend Board Meetings as needed, prepare reports for Board Meetings and Final report at year end, NMLW ready by mid-march, CMN ready by Spring Convention, average time commitment 3-5 hours/month, travel to Board meetings and Convention.
Benefits: Increase profession's image, learn leadership skills, network with others across state.
